There is not much to be added to all the other good reviews here... I found the book very interesting and easy to read, and have enjoyed many of the recipes within. Have completely eliminated all other fat sources from my diet except occasional olive or grapeseed oil. I love the oil in my oatmeal, and use the coconut milk in smoothies. Very yummy. I have not been sick in nearly a year (since starting use) and the biggest surprise is a steady, consistent weight loss of nearly 20 pounds with virtually no other changes to my diet (fairly healthy to begin with). Also helped clear up some skin problems. Be sure to buy the cold pressed virgin oil, which can be found in bulk at a very good price right here on amazon. We use Nutiva, but another good brand is Spectrum. Happy eating.

This is the first book I read on Coconut Oil, and I thought it was very informative.

I read through pretty much all of the reviews on here before purchasing this book and I have to say that it lived up to my expectations. Fife gives a great account of HOW exactly coconut oil is good for, chemically speaking. He presented the info in a very clear and logical manner for those us not scientifically minded. I also did further research on my own regarding coconut oil and after everything I've read, I'd be CRAZY not to try using it. I do like how there were recipes included in the back of the book as well - a good variety but very limited. They are worth a shot though so I'm glad there's something there to begin with. I will also most likely buy his Cooking with Coconut Flour book as well.

The Healing Miracles of Coconut Oil, Third Edition by Healthwise Better Organization of Info would have Really Helped
This is a good book with lots of info on coconut oil and how to use it for health and beauty... I would have preferred it to be organized in ailments though. For instance, title of th ailment: THINNING HAIR and then recipes or prescription on how to use coconut oil to fix that. (this book does have that for Cancer and Diabetes, etc. but I would have liked a quick list with quick info on each as well). Very helpful though, wonderful recipes! look tasty!
